CogSleep, the NHMRC Centre of Research Excellence to Optimise Sleep in Brain Ageing and Neurodegeneration investigates the bidirectional relationship between the disturbances of the sleep or circadian (sleep-wake) systems and brain degeneration. The CRE provides outstanding academic training, clinical infrastructure, expertise and platforms to investigate new biomarkers, technology and novel clinical trials to examine all major forms of dementia and major sleep disorders affecting older people.
